Exciting News from Campbell House this Spring!

The latter part of Spring Term brought a wave of excitement to Campbell House as we engaged in myriad activities. From our House Dinner and the captivating School Musical, to remarkable sporting achievements and impressive musical talents, we are thrilled to share these highlights with you today.

House Dinner

We commenced the spring season with our annual House Dinner, where pupils and parents mingled, showcasing their musical gifts. Special recognition goes out to Jane and Judy for their outstanding performances to welcome everyone to the event. As a House team, we really enjoy welcoming everyone to this event, which gives us a chance to enjoy time together as the whole of Campbell House. Our House Dinner raised an impressive £460 for the School’s charities; well done to Grace and her team for organising the raffle. This year, we added a fun twist with a table quiz centred around the theme of the Purple House, hosted by Miss Mendel.

Exciting Recap of Legally Blonde Musical Production!

The fantastic school production of “Legally Blonde: The Musical” dazzled audiences on the final weekend of the term! It was an absolute joy to witness numerous talented Campbell girls showcase their skills on stage. This spectacular show was the result of a year’s worth of dedication and countless Sunday rehearsals. A huge round of applause to Judea, Helena, Nell, Alessia, Evie, and Sophia for delivering four unforgettable performances! We were pleased to see you all dazzle in a range of roles, and the dedication to rehearsals throughout this year has been exceptional. Your musical talents shone brightly, and we couldn’t be prouder of all the performers!

Achievements in Sports and Music

A huge congratulations to Yuning for her selection in the Chinese Lacrosse U20 team, a well-deserved honour. We also had plethora of pupils competing in the Lacrosse Nationals Finals competition. Well done to Freya, Izzy, Nell, Yimika, Yuning, Verity and Ella. Special mention goes to Marta, Vanessa, Eletta and Freya who won the U15B Plate competition.  In the realm of music, Judy shone brightly at the South East Schools Chamber Music Competition. Judy played in the Piano trio where they won the Intermediate category. We have also been pleased to see lots of success in ABRSM music exams this term, with a range of Passes, Merits and Distinctions across the House. Well done to all involved, we know the practice that it takes for the top marks!

LV Trip Adventures

Throughout the year, our LV students have embarked on a variety of enriching co-curricular trips. They explored the historic Coventry Cathedral during their Religious Studies excursion, engaged in interactive learning at Science Live, and immersed themselves in the world of English literature through the enchanting tale of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. These experiences have provided our students with hands-on learning opportunities and they have enjoyed being able to take their learning out of the classroom this term!

House Shout Competition and Topgolf Adventure

Wrapping up the term on a high note, Campbell House participated in the annual House Shout competition, energized by the song “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back” by Shawn Mendes. Led by Ellie and Cassandra, pupils embraced the spirit of camaraderie, singing their hearts out.

As we bid farewell to the Spring Term, our trip to Topgolf in Watford brought new experiences and opportunities for success. Groups were based around House family trees and there were some incredible shots to get a large number of points. While some staff were pleased to get a score of 10, some pupils wowed us all with scores of over 50! There was some great competitive spirit and good support for those girls (and staff) who were trying golf for the first time.

Have a lovely break!

The Spring Term has felt jam-packed; as one of the shortest terms it feels like our feet have not touched the ground as we have flown towards the Easter holidays. The House team and all Campbell staff wish you a restful, enjoyable Easter break and we look forward to the Summer Term.
