Clarence

Clarence Leavers

As Clarence started Study Leave this half term, although most of the students decided to stay in, it was a very quiet and studious house. That is apart from when I went to buy ice creams or clear M&S out of Colin the Caterpillars or Percy Pigs, then there was a sudden wave of noise heading to the common room to gather treats before heading back to the books. The same happened when Heather visited with the much loved puppies and Mrs Buxton arrived with very fluffy baby bunnies. I asked some of the students in Clarence to sum up the house in one word starting with one of the following letters, here’s what they came up with.

C – Community

L – Laughter, Loving

A – Awesome

R – Rewarding

E – Exciting

N – Nurturing

C – Caring, Clarence Bar

E – Entertaining

L – Legendary

E – Empathetic

A – Adventurous

V – Vibrant

E – Exceptional

R – Radiant

S – Supportive, Slay, Special, Safe-space

I feel very fortunate to have had the privilege of guiding such an exceptionally talented, kind and caring group of young adults through their final year at Wycombe Abbey. There have been ups, downs, tears and laughter and it has been an absolute joy to have got to know each and everyone of them. I wish them all the success in the world as they journey on to the next chapter.
